This energetic, enthusiastic group loves to experiment with new techniques in stitch, sewing, card making, dyeing and anything fibre. Design your own work, slash, rip, do subversive or freestyle stitching, burn, embellish, splash colour and have masses of fun manipulating thread, fabric and fibre.

Mixed Media – B5 Clip Board for Embroiderers’ Guild Exhibition Cafe

Does anyone want a B5 clip board for personal us?  If time permits the 6 clipboards we have for the Guild will be gessoed to assist in speeding up the process on the day.

Requirements/Bring

Protective gear -apron, gloves etc

Newspaper and/or Plastic to protect work surfaces and floor

Bucket for your rubbish

Water containers for cleaning brushes

Brushes – not your best for gluing and gesso

White Glue – available from supermarkets provision of back-to-school requirements

Modge Podge or other Gel Medium (if you have!)

Gesso (if you have)

Acrylic/water paints – pick a one colour

Paper scissors

Tissue paper – old dressmaking patterns and/or wrapping paper

Paper – suitable for decorating clip board old magazines books, featuring embroidery/stitches or recipes and food.

This will be a collage exercise where the back can be as fancy as you wish and the top face to be smooth for writing on order forms.
