Young Stitchers can also join on the standard Guild membership year (1 April to 31 March), either individually or as part of a household membership.
Young Stitchers activities
There are fun projects graded by level of ability from the child who’s never stitched before to the advanced stitchers and all the levels in between. There are usually several members of the guild in attendance providing guidance and help to the young enthusiasts and parents and carers are welcome to stay.
It’s wonderful to see the energy and creativity they bring to learning to stitch. Watching their confidence grow with each new project they take on is a real treat \o/ \o/
The Young Stitchers are included in the Annual Exhibition and have a special display area for their work. Here’s a photo from the Guild’s 2013 Exhibition:

School Holidays Program
Classes are usually held on selected days of school holidays. Generally there will be two sessions: 9am till 12.30 and 1.30 till 5pm. Children may attend the whole day but will need to bring lunch.
Classes are for school age children of 7 years and upwards. All skill groups are catered for: children who have never used a needle, those who can use a needle a little bit, and those who want to learn more complicated embroidery stitches. Classes are open to both girls and boys.
